Spring and summer school shenanigans
Has anyone else noticed the subtle change in pace or is it just me feeling Spring in the air? It feels like things are slowly getting busier for me and closer and closer to my new normal. The weather, of course, is still very changeable but all the flowers and trees are putting out their new buds and it just makes me happy.
I mentioned earlier that I am currently undergoing some teacher training with the lovely Kerry from Knitting For All and its proving to be a lot of fun and a little challenging. Just what I needed to get the brain whirring. The result of that is I will be publishing details of a children’s knit club (feel like I need a name for it… any suggestions?) that will start in the summer holiday but I hope will continue beyond that. I’m sure you are all aware of the massive benefits knitting brings us including mental health benefits, manual dexterity, opportunities to socialise and even a bit of maths thrown in so I’m really looking forward to getting this started. It won’t all be knitting either as I’m planning a number of other crafty things (but mostly woolly!)
Last but definitely not least, I think I have venues now to run a weekly and monthly get togethers! I’m so excited about the prospect of us getting together again to swap stories and show off our projects. I’ll keep you posted on dates and venues as we get nearer but I think I might burst :D
Which reminds me….. if you don’t have your name on our mailing list please drop me a mail (click here) and ask me to add you. That way you’ll get first hand updates on all goings on at Purlwise.
So looking forward to seeing you soon xx
